Last night, the University swept the board with three awards winning University of the Year, Students' Union of the Year and Employer Engagement of the Year for the Business School.
The Educate North Awards celebrate and recognise best practice and excellence in the education sector in the North. Professor John Wilson, Newcastle University Business School’s Director, said: “We are delighted that the Business School has won the Employer Engagement award for our Global Experience Opportunity Programme's Regional Internship initiative with the Federation of Small Business and Xiamen University, China.
“The Global Experience Opportunity offering supports the School's internationalisation agenda by strengthening the Business School’s relationships with our international partner institutions and building relationships with employers in the North East.
“The benefits of this initiative extend not only to creating globally employable students through their experience of working in a multi-cultural team, but also by engaging them in a meaningful project with businesses in the region, which supports Newcastle University's global and civic engagement.”
