The Sheffield College has been shortlisted for a prestigious education award.
The Educate North Awards celebrate, recognise and share best practice and excellence in the further and higher education sector in the North.
The College is a finalist in the Employer Engagement Award category and is the largest provider of apprenticeships in the city and Sheffield City Region.
Andrew Hartley, Commercial Director, The Sheffield College, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted in the Educate North Awards after seeing significant demand for our apprenticeship provision.”
He added: “Our aim is to meet the skills needs of employers, so they get the talent they need for future growth, and to enable more young people and adults to benefit from apprenticeships so they go further in employment and their careers.”
The College supports major employers including Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Horbury Group, JPI Media, Keepmoat Homes, Liberty Speciality Steels, Sheffield Forgemasters, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Tarmac, and also advises small to medium sized businesses.
The Educate North Awards have attracted submissions from further education colleges and universities. The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Hilton Manchester on April 25th. Visit https://www.educatenorth.co.uk/2019-shortlist
