The new deal will see Interact hand over winning trophies for Digital Education and Development in front of a distinguished  audience of academics, students, entrepreneurs and nominees at a superb dinner and event in Manchester later this year.

Emeritus Professor Phil Harris, Chairman of the Educate North Judges, said:

‘We are delighted to welcome an exciting and innovative technology company to the Educate North Awards and family. These awards celebrate excellence across the North of England’s University, Higher Education, FE and Sixth Form sector in an array of hard-fought for categories.

He continued: ‘This is a great tie-up as we encourage new thinking, new adoptions and new deliveries across our top awards and in our unique University Entrepreneurs Grant (UEG) competition which takes place on the night. We look forward to a long and successful relationship with Interact and a series of fruitful outcomes.

Simon Dance, CEO of Interact said; ‘The Educate North Awards were launched in 2015 and have become not only sought-after but an important marker for progress’.

‘Winners have gone on and won major national awards and received verification from international bodies. Winners of the UEG have raised millions for new enterprises’.

‘Interact is about communication and improving connections between people. Our ethos is perfectly in step with these awards’.

More than 20 awards will be announced on Thursday 27th April 2023 at Manchester’s famous Midland Hotel.

There will also be three special awards from the listeners of Smooth North West, Smooth North East and Heart Yorkshire which reach more than 3 million people.

The UEG is a live enterprise competition as 4 students or graduates pitch a new business idea to the audience and one will walk away with a £1000 prize and the chance to join a special course at the Masood Entrepreneurship Centre at The Alliance Manchester Business School.
