The most prestigious awards for Universities, Higher Education institutions and Further Education Colleges and Sixth Forms across the North of England are now open for entries.

The ENAs (Education North Awards) were launched in 2015 and has announced that it will  stage its 11th Gala Dinner and ceremony in Manchester City Centre in April 2025.

Full details on entries are now available on www.educatenorth.co.uk

More than 20 special categories including University of The Year; Lifetime Achievement Award, FE College Of The Year and specialist trophies for music, performance arts and research will be announced on the night.

The ENAs  celebrate excellence, high achievement, and improvement across the North and bring together hundreds of academics, students, executives and business people as well as politicians to applaud the development and growth of the sector.

In the coming weeks listeners to Heart Yorkshire, Smooth North West and Smooth North East will also hear full details of the ENAs and will be invited to submit entries via the websites of three of the most popular radio stations in the North.

‘We staged our 10th Awards ceremony in April this year and we can’t wait to bring this vital community together again at a time of major change and some trepidation across the sector to showcase breakthroughs, developments and of course, best practice’ said Emeritus Professor Ruth Ashford, Deputy Head Judge of the awards.

She continued; ‘We bring together judges from across academia, business and from across the country to focus on the record numbers of entries we receive and the high standards we see which underlines the commitment and high bar which the North can achieve for the whole of the UK’.

2025 will also see the return of the University Entrepreneurs Grant (UEG) when four students or graduates will pitch a new business idea to the live audience and the winner will walk away with a cash prize to compose a business plan and the chance to study at a top business school.
